Any student who is contemplating on pursuing a career in Biotechnology must be aware that this field is still developing in India. Therefore, the number of job openings and pay packages are both very low when compared with IT and CS fields.

Generally, B.Tech in biotechnology programmes require you to write engineering entrance tests. For B.Sc in biotech courses, you might need a cut-off merit score in class 12th to get admission.

The eligibility condition for NEET 2018 exam are:
Nationality: Indian, OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India), PIO (Persons of Indian Origin), NRI & Foreign candidates can apply for NEET exam.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 17 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years (30 years for reserved categories) as or on 31st December of the year of admission.
Attempt Limit: Students can apply for three times for this exam.
Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have cleared the 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
