So, I took a little help from someone pursuing Music Hons at Miranda House. This was her answer-
So basically yes Miranda House offers a course in Music but our classes are not held in the college. We don't even have our music department in Miranda House. All the classes are held in Delhi University's Faculty of Music and Fine arts. We only have AECC and GE classes in Miranda. And talking about the career placements, Music is an art. Our career is based on what we are learning and how good are our singing skills. So, it only offers us a degree in Music but to make a career in the same, it is our practice, our dedication, the struggle to prove ourselves in the music Industry, and ofcourse luck that makes us a good singer. Both the fields are very promising and satisfying. It is up to you whether you want to be an interior designer or a fashion designer. The scope of both these courses is equally good. Fashion design is the applied art dedicated to clothing and lifestyle accessories created within the cultural and social influences of a specific time. Interior Design, on the other hand, is a profession concerned with anything that is found inside a space - walls, windows, doors, finishes, textures, light, furnishings and furniture. All of these elements are used by interior designers to develop a functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing space for a building's user. The success as a designer; be it fashion or interior, depends on your individual potential and creativity. Choosing a subject between the two will depend on your interest. You need to be very creative and should have good designing and drawing skills to make a mark in such industries. Hope this helps.
