When comparing return-on-investment (ROI) for an MBA at Lovely Professional University (LPU) versus Chandigarh University (CU), both have strengths — but overall, CU often yields a slightly better ROI under typical conditions.

On one hand, LPU shows decent MBA placement results: the highest reported MBA package in recent years reached ~₹29–30 LPA, and some batches report top-10% averages around ₹13–14 LPA.  However, its average placement figures stay modest — many MBA graduates reportedly receive offers between ₹5–8 LPA depending on specialisation and competition. 

On the other hand, CU's MBA placements—while not outstandingly high—tend to come with a lower cost base (fees tend to be more modest), which improves net ROI. Many reports show CU offers a solid number of placement opportunities (800+ offers, 200+ recruiting companies) and acceptable placement rates.  When fee-to-salary ratio is considered, CU tends to deliver better value for money especially for students not aiming exclusively for top-end packages.

So if your goal is reasonable salary after graduating without overspending, CU likely offers better ROI. If you aim for top-tier recruiters and are willing to compete, LPU might offer upside — but ROI is less guaranteed.

The MBA programme at Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are both designed with strong industry relevance, but the degree of industry orientation can differ based on curriculum design, exposure opportunities, and corporate engagement. Chandigarh University is often considered highly industry-oriented because it collaborates with numerous corporate partners for curriculum framing, live projects, and internships. On the other hand, LPU also offers a very industry-linked MBA with strong corporate tie-ups, global exposure options, and project-based learning. LPU's School of Business is known for its case-study pedagogy, live consultancy projects, and international collaborations. However, compared to CU, LPU's approach is slightly more academic–industry balanced rather than purely industry-driven. CU places a relatively stronger emphasis on real-world immersion through mandatory internships, corporate mentoring, and skill-based modules. Ultimately, both universities offer industry-relevant MBAs, but Chandigarh University can be considered slightly more industry-oriented in terms of practical exposure and partnership-driven curriculum.

Chandigarh University is generally regarded as one of the better choices for obtaining an MBA based on its excellent industry exposure, modern infrastructure and strong placement support. An individual who has completed an undergraduate degree in Computer Science should consider pursuing an MBA in one of the following areas of concentration: Information Technology Management, Business Analytics or Operations, as these areas will leverage their technical knowledge while providing additional management style learning. These three areas will also provide access to roles within technology-driven organisations, as well as positions in consulting firms and analytics firms. Additionally, candidates who are looking to diversify away from technical roles may want to consider the popular areas of concentration for an MBA in Marketing or Finance. Due to its emphasis on practical coursework, internship opportunities, and partnerships with many businesses, the university provides an excellent environment for developing a well-rounded career path.

The B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course at Chandigarh University does not have a traditional cutoff list like many government colleges. Instead, the university uses its own entrance exam, CUCET, to decide admission. To apply, you must have at least 60% marks in 10+2, but your actual selection depends on how well you perform in CUCET. Students who score higher in the test usually get an early advantage because seats fill quickly during the admission cycle.

In the recent admission sessions, students who scored in the above-average range in CUCET comfortably secured a seat in the program. Since the university does not accept CLAT scores for admission, focusing on CUCET preparation is the best way to meet the effective cutoff and improve your chances of getting into the B.A. LL.B.
