The total number of BTech seats at Dibrugarh University is 271. This is further divided across the four specialisations offered at the university. These seats are allotted to the applicants who fulfill the Dibrugarh University BTech eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria requires the candidates to have scored at least 45% (40% for reserved category) in the three cumpolsory subjects in Class 12. The candidates must not be below 17 and above 21 years of age as on August 1, 2024. The eligible candidates will be called for counselling based on their scores in JEE (Main)/Assam CEE. The online applications for BTech at Dibrugarh University started on 16 May 2024. Only the candidates who have applied for JEE (Main)/Assam CEE can submite their online applications through the admission portal on the university's official website. The process will continue till 30 June 2024. The date has been notified by the university on their official website. It is still subject to change.

Dibrugarh University accepts the exam scores of two entance exams for admitting students to its BTech programmes. These exams are JEE (Main) and Assam CEE (Engineering). A candidate with a valid score in any one of the two mentioned exam is eligible for admission to the BTech programmes of Dibrugarh University. However, candidates applying with Assam CEE scores must have the permanent residence certificate of Assam. Hence, JEE (Main) becomes mandatory for the applicants who do not have a permanent residence certificate of Assam.

Dibrugarh University BTech fee includes components like the admission fee, tuition fee, library fee, SAF fee, development fee, laboratory fee, sports board fee, etc. The BTech tution fee at the universtiy ranges between INR 33,000 and INR 3.5 Lakh. The exact fee amount depends upon the choice of BTech stream/specialisation. The candidates also have to pay an application fee of INR 1000 during online application. No, the BTech admissions into Dibrugarh University are decided on entrance basis only. Only the candidates with a valid score of one of the accepted entrance exams are considered eligible for admission to the various streams of BTech at the university. The accepted entrance exams are Assam CEE (for students with permanent residence certificate of Assam) and Jee (Main). The university releases a cut-off list based on the scores of the two entrance exams. Admission offer is made to the candidates who clear the required cut-off and fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for Dibrugarh University BTech programmes.

Yes, BTech in Petroleum Engineering at Dibrugarh University is offered as a full-time course at the UG level. The other BTech streams available at Dibrugarh University are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Admissions to these courses are based on the merit of CEE Assam (Engineering) or JEE (Main).
