Assam University provides a 2-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course in four specialisations:

• Financial Management
• Marketing Management
• Human Resource Management
• Operations Management

Candidates willing to take in any one of these specialisations of MBA need to take any of these entrance exams like CAT/ CMAT/ CUCET or Assam University's own entrance examination, i.e. Written Skills Assessment Test (WSAT).

Students need to secure a good rank above the closing ranks mentioned in the merit list released by Assam University on their official website. After that, candidates will have to apply for the counselling process, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview, and based on performance in all these tests will successfully lead to admission to MBA at Assam University.

No, there is no such provision for getting direct admission in MBA at Assam University. Assam University has a complete procedure used to induct candidates into their MBA programme; no one can bypass that process.

The process of taking admission to Assam University is described in bullet formats below:

• Firstly, the student need to take any of these exams like CAT/ CMAT/ CUCET or WSAT, i.e. Assam University's own designed entrance exam for those candidates who haven’t any of the former exams.
• Secondly, the applicant must register for counselling, which inculcates filling college preferences and submitting academic and other essential documents.
• Thirdly and finally, if the applicant’s rank is above the closing rank mentioned in the merit list of Assam University, the candidate will have to follow up with Group Discussion & Personal Interview to secure their seat for MBA.

Assam University usually starts the registration process for MBA between February and March. The complete process includes filling out the registration form followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD + PI)

Candidates willing to take admission an MBA at Assam University should have taken CAT/XAT/CUCET or Written Skill Assessment Test (WSAT), the university’s entrance examination conducted by the Department of business administration.

• Hostel: There are two hostels, one for boys (400 students) and the other one for girls 100 students). Single and double occupancy rooms are available with attached washrooms. The first year students get double occupancy room. Each room has beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, fans, lights and Wi-fi.
• Mess Facility: The mess is available at the ground floor of the hostel and provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods are cooked in the mess.
• Campus Network: In IIIT Guwahati campus, students get 24x7 wide connectivity to its community and can access high-speed (1 Gbps) LAN and Wi-fi.
• Library: The library has a large number of books, online journals and subscribes to the IEEE, ACM and JSTOR e-journal packages to fulfill the students need.
• Laboratories: CSE and ECE labs are available with state-of-the-art equipment and latest hi-tech gadgets. Candidates can perform the experimental activities individually or in a group of two in the supervision of the lab assistant.
