Assam University has not released the list of companies that visited the campus during the recent placement drive. However, as per unofficial sources, some of the top recruiters are AMUL, Karvy, ICICI Bank, Bandhan Bank, Mahindra Finance, Indigo, Vodafone, JIO, Amazon, etc.

Assam University Silchar admission to the BTech course is based on the JEE Main score, followed by CSAB counselling. According to the Assam University cutoff for Round 6 in 2023, the most competitive specialisation has been Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 48929.. The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 589. In 2023, it increased to 654. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 298 to 267 for OBC, 175 to 173 for SC, 77 to 83 for ST, 103 to 91 for EWS, 37 to 37 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT Guwahati cutoff has been released upto 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs are released on a rolling basis, and the seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs are based on the following factors:

The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of JEE Main entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the JoSAA counselling process, once the round is released.

IIT Guwahati cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech. in Computer Science and Engineering is 654 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology.
