Assam University provides a 2-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course in four specialisations:

• Financial Management
• Marketing Management
• Human Resource Management
• Operations Management

Candidates willing to take in any one of these specialisations of MBA need to take any of these entrance exams like CAT/ CMAT/ CUCET or Assam University's own entrance examination, i.e. Written Skills Assessment Test (WSAT).

Students need to secure a good rank above the closing ranks mentioned in the merit list released by Assam University on their official website. The process of taking admission to Assam University is described in bullet formats below:

• Firstly, the student need to take any of these exams like CAT/ CMAT/ CUCET or WSAT, i.e. Assam University's own designed entrance exam for those candidates who haven’t any of the former exams.
• Secondly, the applicant must register for counselling, which inculcates filling college preferences and submitting academic and other essential documents.
• Thirdly and finally, if the applicant’s rank is above the closing rank mentioned in the merit list of Assam University, the candidate will have to follow up with Group Discussion & Personal Interview to secure their seat for MBA.

Assam University usually starts the registration process for MBA between February and March. The complete process includes filling out the registration form followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD + PI)
