MCC is a good college the cut-offs are generally very high. The first cut off is usually 98% or 99%. Gradually, the cut-offs fall, but it does not go below 93%or 94%, because the students applying are many. So, you have to score above 93% at 10+2 level.

As per the syllabus of Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech in Biological Engineering at IIT Madras, The calculus, Physics, Computational Engineering/Thermodynamics, Engineering Mechanics, Mathematics and Basic Electrical Engineering are studied from Ist to 4th semester. So, Mathematics is needed here for better understanding. While from 5th semester and onward the core subjects are started so Maths is not needed here.
