There is no single university that is best for every student because it depends on career goals, course choice, budget, and learning preferences. Among these options, institutions like BITS Pilani, DU, VIT, Thapar, SRM, and LPU are often considered for their academic opportunities and industry exposure. For students looking for a balance of an industry oriented curriculum, practical learning, internships, and strong placement opportunities across multiple disciplines, LPU stands out as a competitive option. Honestly, both SRM and LPU are decent private universities, but the “better” one really depends on what you want as a student. SRM has a slightly stronger brand in South India and is more competitive in terms of crowd and academics.
On the other hand, LPU gives a much bigger campus experience, diverse peer group, and a lot of exposure through events, clubs, and placements.
So if you want a more strict academic + competitive environment, SRM can feel better, but if you want exposure, opportunities, and overall campus life, LPU is often preferred by many students.

Both SRM and LPU are good universities, but as a student at LPU, I recommend it as a good option for students interested in a B.Tech in Computer Science. LPU provides good exposure to internships, projects, hackathons, industry trainings and workshops.
The campus of LPU is too good. Many students from different states come and study together, and it helps students to increase their personality development, If a student is ready to do efforts in participation and increasing skills, then LPU can be a good option

As per the review for Shiksha user (Praveenkumar, B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027) It is a nice place to learn. Almost 90 percent of students got placed. The highest package is upto 46 LPA. The department has good facilities with classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi. There are libraries too with good infrastructure. Smart board is also available. In hostel, an Ethernet facility is available. Teachers are good at teaching and doubt clearing as well as giving great assistance to the students whenever needed.
