For lateral entry, you have to ask college authorities for there vacant seats in second year. If any seats are available, then definitely you'll get admission.

Hi Sunil ji, your son has got good percentage in 12th but for computer engineering in VIT the cut off goes quite high every time. So it seems difficult, sorry to say that. You should try in an open counseling round. He might get it in that round. All the Best!

I strongly advise against choosing a course on the basis of Placements. But I can tell that Civil Engineering is a good branch in terms of placements and package. To get a better Idea about the type and quality of placement you can get accurate information from old aluminies and administration itself.

You have got 66.24%. In our college, there is another shift which is also present for mechanical engineering and if you fall under the reserved quota then maybe you can get selected or else, if possible, take admission via management quota.
