In terms of rankings, placements, and academic reputation, VIT is generally thought better than SRM and KIIT. It also has good infrastructure, diverse groups of fellow students, and better placement, especially in CSE and IT, after which comes SRM, which is good in terms of industry exposure, and lastly KIIT, which tends to be preferred in region and has been recording consistent growth.

With rank 17,845 in VITEEE, you have got an awesome chance of getting the CSE branch at VIT Chennai.
Many college students with comparable ranks were given CSE there.
So, sure — you can assume admission, however the charges can be slightly higher in those categories.

While it's difficult to say definitively, your chances of getting a seat in SASTRA's B.Tech Data Science and Business Analytics programme with an 88% in boards and a 60% in JEE are not very high, but not impossible. SASTRA considers both 12th board scores and JEE Main scores for admissions, but JEE performance is a significant factor. With 88% in boards, you have a good chance of getting an A+ grade, but a 60% in JEE (which translates to roughly a low percentile) is a concern.

It is unlikely to get Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at NIT Trichy or NIT Surathkal with a 94.54 percentile in JEE Main Jan 2025, especially under the ST category. While 94.54 percentile is a good score, top NITs like Trichy and Surathkal have very high cutoffs for CSE, typically requiring percentiles above 99.5, even for reserved categories.
High Demand for CSE:
CSE is a highly sought-after branch in NITs, and the cutoffs for this branch are generally very competitive.
Top NITs:
NIT Trichy and NIT Surathkal are among the top NITs, known for their strong academic programs and placements, especially in CSE.

PSG College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore offers the B.Sc. in Costume Design and Fashion as one of its most creative and competitive courses. The cutoff for this course varies every year, depending on the number of applicants and their Class 12 board scores. Typically, students securing above 75 to 80 percent in their higher secondary exams have a fair chance of securing admission. Preference is often given to students with a flair for design and strong academic background in arts or science streams.
