Under the admissions process, the applicants of De Montfort University Dubai must have the following documents:
- Complete Application Form
- Attested copy of high school or bachelor's certificate
- Passport Copy
- Student Visa Documents
- Medical Insurance Proof
- Receipt of Application Fee Payment
- English Language Proficiency Test Certificate

The courses and programs offered at the De Montfort University (DMU) Dubai have the same quality and standard as that of DMU Leicester. This means that the degrees received at DMU Dubai are the same as that of DMU Leicester. The modules, and curriculum of the courses at DMU Dubai are the same as that of Leicester, leading to similar assessment, and outcomes. But, the programs available at DMU Leicester are wider, and diversified than compared to that of DMU Dubai. But this is due to the demand of the UK industries, and focusing on the region. The minimum IELTS requirements is 6 with 5.5 in each band. This is for most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For the law courses, the requirement is 6.5 IELTS score. DMU Dubai also accepts PTE, and other English Language Proficiency certifications as well. If you are applying for the International First Year (IFY) programs, then you need to have a 5.5 IELTS score overall with a 5.5 score in each band. Also, there are English courses which are taken before the beginning of the course session, if you do not have the English Language Proficiency score or certification.

De Montfort University Dubai has received license and accreditation by the UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR). The qualifications of DMU Dubai have become official, and has received the seal of approval by the UAE government. The DMU Dubai has the institutional licensure as given by MoHESR, under the UAE's Education Strategy 2033. DMU Dubai is amongst the 16 educational institutions to get accreditation by MoHESR.

The application fee for applying to any De Montfort University Dubai course is AED 500, INR 11789. This can be paid while applying to the course through the university's portal. Or, you can also bank transfer the amount to the university's account as shared on the university's application page.
