Yes, there has been a fall in the JEE Advanced cutoff rank for CSE at IIT Kharagpur over the past three years. As per the IIT Kharagpur CSE cutoff 2026 for the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff was 509. In 2025 and 2024, the cutoffs for the same round were 450 and 414, respectively. The higher the rank, the lower the competition. For other categories, the scenario might be different.

Computer Science and Engineering admission at GITAM University is based on candidates' performance in the KCET entrance exam. As per the KCET cutoff 2024, the last round closing rank for CSE was 64268 for the General AI category students. So, if you belong to the unreserved category, yes, the possibility is there that you will get a call from GITAM University with a rank of 60,000 in the KCET entrance exam. CHARUSAT GUJCET cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the various Home State quota categories for the BTech program.
For the General HS category, the overall CSE cutoff ranged from 2600 to 2491. On the other hand, for the OBC category, the cutoff varied from 4501 to 4819. To know the cutoff range for other categories, see the list below:

For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 16663 and closing rank was 19175 for the general category candidates under All India quota.The admission to NIT for BTech Computer Science and Engineering takes place through JEE Main. NIT Hamirpur CSE cutoff 2026 was 12484 for the General AI category in the first round. The NIT Hamirpur JEE Main cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for admission to various courses, including BTech CSE. The cutoff was out for different All India and Home State quota categories.

The qualifying cutoff varies each year. The Cutoff for JEE Main 2023 is 90+ percentile for General Category, 75+ percentile for EWS category, and 51+ for SC Category.
For getting admission, you have to get rank up to AIR 900. Beyond that your chances will get decreased.
