Students who want to take master's in Computer Science in USA must have UG degree from recognised university in specializations such as Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or relevant fields such as Mathematics and Engineering. Along with this, students must submit the following paperwork to get admission:

  • Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale or more 
  • Standardised Test Scores
  • English language requirements
  • Work experience
  • Letter of recommendations
  • Programming and Math skills

Hi,  

Candidates are required to fulfill the following basic eligibility criteria to pursue distance BSc in Computer Science:

  • For admission to BSc in Computer Science course, students must have passed 12 or any equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Students who have completed their intermediate (12 or equivalent) in Computer Science field are also eligible for admission to the course.
  • Aspirants have to qualify the entrance examinations as notified by the universities/institutes to get admission to the course.

Yes, you are absolutely eligible for an engineering programme in computer science.

As 50 to 70 percent minimum marks are required for admission to all B.Tech computer Science programs.

You can further go for government exams like state level exams and specially JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Mains conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) to get a government college or a private college at affordable fees structure.

Yes, The CSIR NET exam accepts candidates who obtained their Master's degree in Mathematics with Computer Science as it considers both M.Sc. education and equivalent qualifications for eligibility. 

Educational Qualification:

  • A Master's degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Since your degree includes Mathematics, you are eligible.

If candidates come from a background in Commerce, they can most definitely take a computer course after Class 12. Candidates have the option of pursuing a BS in Computer Science or IT, an MSc in Computer Science or IT, an MCA, an MTech, or a ME in Computer Science. This could be followed by an M.Tech CS/IT or an MSc - CS/IT a regular/lateral entry MCA or a lateral entry to the BTech CS/IT.
