If you opt for B.Tech then you will face competition in the society and if complete it, you would have a larger pay scale with direct employment with a reputed firm. On the other hand, there will be less competition and you would do better too with that, but there is less demand for it.

You can send your IELTS score to the university now, and you can obtain the visa on an ELICOS offer, it will come down to your overall application kit and you have the IELTS score too to save you.

There are two modes for applying in M.Phil course I.e. Entrance and Direct ( NET/NET-JRF). In case of NET/NET-JRF the students are selected on the basis of merit (50% Undergraduate marks + 50% Post Graduate marks) for final Interview. However in case of Entrance test there is two-layered selection procedure, comprising a written test and a personal interview.
