No, learning French is not mandatory for Indian students to study at Concordia Uni. The university delivers its programs primarily in English. However, developing French skills is highly recommended for living in Montreal and landing part-time roles.
Local employers give priority to student workers who are proficient in French (especially in customer-facing or professional roles).

Many global ranking bodies give priority to research outputs and graduate population when ranking universities. However, Concordia Uni has a smaller research output and fewer graduate programs. It is more of a community and career-oriented teaching institution.
This is why McGill or Uni Toronto rank above Concordia Uni, as both these universities have better research volumes and enroll more graduate students.
