Yes, students can defer the start of their studies at Conestoga College. Here is everything you need to know about programme deferrals at Conestoga:

  • A deferral only works for the same programme at the same campus for a future intake
  • Change of programme or withdrawing application is not considered a deferral
  • Request for the same can be made via the OCAS Admission portal
  • Once a deferral is requested, the OCAS application gets locked, and no further changes or updates can be made

No, Conestoga College Canada usually does not allow late payment of tuition fees from Indian students. An initial penalty of CAD 150 (INR 10 K) applies to students who miss the fee payment deadline.

The college may opt to remove a student's pre-registered status, suspend student account, or even cancel enrollment.

Yes, Indian students can defer their admission at Conestoga College if they miss visa deadlines however, it is not guaranteed

The initial tuition paid to Conestoga is not refundable (CAD 2,500) so it is important to apply for a deferral as early as possible if  the visa is delayed.

The same can be done via the official portal of the college.

Conestoga College recommends applying for admission by February 1 for the Fall intake of this year. It is the case because it is the equal consideration date for the Ontario colleges

If the students choose this date to apply, the chances of admission increase a lot.  The applicants can apply via the OCAS portal

The applications can be accepted after this Conestoga application deadline too, but it may not be available for oversubscribed programs.
