Hi Megha!
Generally you can directly apply for a Diploma course and there is no entrance exam for the same but it also depends from college to college. Every institute has its own eligibility criteria. I would suggest you to contact the institute where you intend to take admission for a better guidance.

Yes, you can. Complete your class 12th and join any animation college. You better decide, what kind of animation you want to learn. These are types of animation.
2D Animation. (Vector-Based)
3D Animation. (CGI, Computer Animation)
Motion Graphics. (Typography, Animated Logos)
Stop Motion. (Claymation, Cut-Outs).
