To apply for Ph.D. you can either directly apply to the professors of different universities sending them your resume, statement of purpose and your research papers. Or you can appear for UGC-NET examination and then sending your NET scores to the professors under whom you want to undergo your Ph.D. course.

You first need to complete the degree so it might take a year or two and then Masters is for 2 years more. While most of the courses abroad are credit based and duration can be shorter, it depends on you to study and work hard.

Both would need a CAT score of above 98 percentile and 700+ score in MAT to get admissions, as both are premier colleges with best in class average salaries.

Diploma courses are not much in demand. You can opt for engineering after completing class 12th for better exposure and job security.

Are you working right now? Diplomas credit can be transferred to B.Tech, but you need to write to universities with your transcripts. If you have work experience, then it is good to add to your profile.
