MBA is not possible after Diploma Engineering courses because these required graduation. B.Tech lateral or AMIE are the best available options. B.Tech lateral have an advantage of campus placement if still unemployed, While AMIE is best for working professionals. So you may take the decision accordingly.

Diploma is a good option after class 10th, but after class 12th, one must do graduation instead of doing Diploma. Graduation is important for good profile in jobs. So, better to get admission in B.Tech after class 12th rather than after (12th + Diploma). Even B.Sc is far better than doing Diploma after class 12th.

Candidates who have BHM/ BBA/ BBM/ BHHM and equivalent Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline from a recognised University are considered eligible for PG Diploma programme. Admission to Bachelors Degree and PG Diploma course is given through All India Entrance Examination held in Hyderabad including candidates performance in GD and PI. See this link
