West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) conducts the JEXPO and VOCLET entrance examinations for the various Diploma Polytechnic courses in Engineering and Technology. WBSCTE JEXPO and VOCLET is held for the candidates seeking admission in various Polytechnic Colleges/Institutions of State of West Bengal. JEXPO is conducted for the First Year of Diploma courses in Engineering & Technology and VOCLET for the Second Year of Diploma courses in Engineering & Technology. So from above JEXPO and VOCLET are for admission in regular Diploma courses, Hence you can not do distance Diploma courses through these tests.

Diploma in Civil through distance mode is not valid for employment and higher education purpose.

Technically both have the equal value from government. Job point of view, but private companies prefers to take regular Diploma holders in place of distance students. Further campus placement opportunities are not available with distance learning students. Hence prefer to study the Diploma in pharmacy in regular mode.

For going abroad or to Canada for graduation is indeed quite good thought. Many Indian students now go abroad for graduation in engineering. Your Diploma will be considered as equivalent to 12th. I would like to advise you that please approach an agency dealing with sending students abroad for graduation since there are many issues that help one get admission and these agencies know how to handle these. Scholarships too are available at many universities for deserving students. I feel that you can select any branch that you like as subject of your graduation. Best wishes to you.

You have to complete your one degree at a time. Gaps will not be accepted by the college further in future.

Yes, you can pursue any course related to your on choice and you can even go for Masters itself.

This option is especially viable for Diploma holders from non-engineering schemes who can pursue three-year regular graduation programmes such as B.Sc, B.A., BCA, and B.Com. However, candidates must have completed their Class 12 Board Exam or +2 certificates to be eligible for admission to these courses.
