Any University approved by UGC and Directorate of Distance Education that provides distance learning is valid every where. Even the government accepts the validity of such Universities. As far as MBA is concerned through distance learning mode I personally believe IGNOU is a very good opt

I do not think you will be permitted to do so, as a lateral entry from a distance course to a regular course is not allowed, and moreover, I don't think it is even legal to do so. However, you can check with the admissions department of your institute if it is permitted.
