The eligibility criteria of B.Ed distance education course is elaborated below: -
The applicants must have at least 50% marks in Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Arts, Science, Commerce and Engineering streams in order to apply for distance B.Ed course. Candidates who wish to take up distance B.Ed must be trained in-service teachers in elementary education. Candidates who have completed teacher education programme recognised by NCTE in a face-to-face mode are also eligible to apply. According to my knowledge, B.Ed is a regular course not a distance learning course. So, you need to research before getting admission which will help you to save your time, money and efforts.

You can't apply for any other institute between your 4 years B.Tech regular course. However, you can take transfer to another campus branch of same university or college.

I don't think so that this course is available in Madurai Kamaraj University or any other distance learning university. This courses must be available in the regular university.

It is safe to get information, directly from the UGC. You will find there a list of unrecognised universities. Or else, visit the nearest Degree College and find out from them. You will find a list of universities which are fake, if you enquire at them.

Yes, of course a distance degree from a recognized distance university is equally valued to a regular degree. The only difference between the two is, one is inside a classroom and one is inside a virtual classroom. A degree earned from Indira Gandhi National Open University or Sikkim Manipal University of Distance education is as valid as the degree obtained from any regular colleges of India. This is because both the universities are recognized by UGC.
