No, DJ Academy of Design admissions are not merit-based. The academy selects students purely on an entrance basis. Interested students have to appear for the DEED exam. Those shortlisted then will be called for Personal Interview.

According to IIRF ranking, it is 13 out of 40 design colleges in India according to 2023 rankings. It has NIRF rank band of 151-200.
