Yes, Architecture and Engineering courses at the American University in Dubai require additional items for Indians which may include portfolios and placement tests. 

For AUD Architecture courses, Indian students need to submit a portfolio and for Engineering courses, a Math placement test is taken. Look at the admission requirements given below - 

B.Arch Admission Requirements -

• A portfolio that consists of 3 original artworks with brief descriptions

Students can become eligible for an accredited internship by completing a minimum of 90 credit hours and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Internship must be completed within the UAE.
