No, candidates must carry a coloured printout of the GATE admit card on an A4-sized sheet. It will help the staff of the exam centre verify candidates with his/her picture. The GATE hall ticket is a necessary document that must be carried in the examination hall for verification along with the original and valid photo identity document (no photocopy / scanned copy / an expired document), which was specified during the filling up of the online application. While preparing the BITSAT 2023 paper, the authorities will select the questions randomly from a large question bank. All of the questions will be from the topics of Physics Chemistry English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics/ Biology. It is to be noted that different candidates will get different question Sets. An expert committee will ensure that the question Sets are of comparable difficulty level, content, question type etc. In this matter, the decision of the expert committee will be final and binding on the candidate.

There is no time limit to complete each section in BITSAT 2023 paper. Candidates will have to attempt and finish the examination within the 3 hours duration provided by the authorities. The time allotted to complete each section of the BITSAT paper is completely up to the candidate's discretion. Candidates will also be allowed to go back to any section and change their previously selection answers during the examination. However, candidates are advised to manage their time and complete their sections quickly so that they can finish the examination beforehand and attempt the extra 12 questions.

During BITSAT 2023, If any candidate is able to attempt all 130 questions before the duration of the examination ends, then he/she will be allowed to attempt additional 12 questions within the remaining time. The additional questions will be from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology sections and Logical Reasoning only. The candidates will be given only three questions from each subject. However, any candidate who chooses to answer these extra 12 exam questions will not be allowed to go back and make any changes to the 130 questions answered earlier.

As per the BITSAT 2023 exam pattern, there will be a total of 130 questions. Physics and Chemistry will have 30 questions each while Mathematics/Biology will have 40 questions. The English and Logical Reasoning section will have 10 and 20 questions respectively. All questions will be multiple-choice in nature. The candidates will have to select the correct answer from the four options provided for each question. During the examination, the candidates will be allowed to change their answers at any point but no requests for change will be accepted after submission of the paper.

There were four sections in BITSAT 2023 question paper - Part I (Physics), Part II (Chemistry), Part III (English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning) and Part IV (Mathematics or Biology). All questions were prepared based on the topics of these subjects to assess the candidates for admissions into the participating institutes of the state. Candidates were advised to attempt the entire sections to have a higher chance of scoring the required marks for admission. However, they should have been careful as negative marking is done for the incorrect answers.

The official marking scheme of BITSAT 2023 has been announced online by the authorities. As per the BITSAT exam pattern, for every correct answer, the candidates will be allotted 3 marks. If the candidate has selected the wrong answer, then 1 mark will be deducted. No marks will be deducted for the unattempted questions. Candidates are advised to carefully check the marking scheme of BITSAT 2023 to be aware of how they will be marked for the examination. If the candidates are unsure of the answer, it is best to leave it unattempted as negative marking will be done.

The authorities will release BITSAT exam pattern online. BITSAT is conducted as a computer-based test and the total duration of the examination will be 3 hours. During the exam, the candidates will have to answer 130 multiple-choice questions about various topics from Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning and Mathematics/ Biology. For every correct answer, the candidates will be awarded 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Yes, BITSAT 2023 is being held online I. e. , as a computer-based test. No other mode of examination will be held by the authorities. BITSAT will be conducted at various centres and the candidates will have to select their preferences during the application process. Allocation of exam centres will be done based on the preferences submitted by the candidates and details will be made available through the admit card. Candidates will be allowed to select their slots for the examination as per the availability.
