Yes, it is but no, it is not if you do not prepare well. JEE Mains is not based on how you can mug up things, it's totally based on your understanding of the topic. So JEE Mains is not tough. Be optimistic. If you think it is tough then it will always be tough. There are 2.5 lacs aspirants qualifying JEE, think about them. You can be the one, just be optimistic and work smart and a bit hard.

JEE Mains is all about practice and concepts. It does not matter how hard your study, it matters how smart you study. If you did not qualify JEE then it does not mean that you cannot qualify GATE. If you study 10 hours daily. GATE's syllabus is huge though you may feel that JEE Mains is much harder than GATE. Hi Dipjay, BITS only take admission through its own entrance exam BITSAT. There is eligibility barrier to score least 75% in 12th. Except this all are just rumors. You can check this on BITS website given below: http://www.bitsadmission.com/Eligibility_Criteria.aspx.

Hi Prudhviraj,
From the year 2019, National Testing Agency has made some major changes in JEE paper. From this year onwards a student has the opportunity to sit for the exam twice which will be conducted in computer-based mode by NTA. So, if you have scored well in first attempt then your JEE first attempt NTA score will be taken into consideration for the eligibility to sit in JEE Advanced. If you score better in Second JEE Advanced attempt, then the second attempt score will be used. In any case, I would recommend you to appear for both the papers. You might land up into a good IIT college as well.
I hope this helps!
