For other state general category students, you need to secure 203 - 1358 rank.

No, there are no chances that you will get a government college because for government colleges, you need to score 100+ marks in NATA.
You can go for top private colleges. Also, you can try for CEPT University, MS University, DY Patil College, Nirma University, etc.

Every field has its own merits and demerits. The difficulty level depends solely on the student's determination and interest towards the subject. However, answering your question, mechanical engineering is felt by most people as slightly more difficult when compared to civil.
