If your JEE Mains marks are good then apply for state counseling. Although there are still some colleges who give admission on the basis of JEE Advanced marks. Check for such institute and assure your seat there.

In case you don't get your desired college, don't settle for something mediocre college. I recommend you to visit (josaa.nic.in) and check the last year's ST cut-off of your home state NIT. There, you would get the idea for your selection. And for IITs admission are purely based in the rank of JEE Advanced.
