In India several technological universities including the IITs offer courses in aeronautical engineering both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. I doubt, you are advised to check with GATE authorities, visit their official website and contact them. UK degree has recognition issues in India and things are doubtful.

Almost all the states conduct their exam for admission to many courses but they also offer admission on the basis of JEE Mains score as JEE Mains is the central exam and all the colleges are instructed to offer admission through this exam. But state colleges offer admission to almost 90% of the students via their own entrance exam and 10% on the basis of JEE Mains exam scores.
