No, you can't take admission through JEE Mains as you have to appear in VITEEE and SRMJEEE to get admission in VIT and SRM University.

Preparing for JEE Advanced is like preparing for a good quality entrance exam. Questions here are invariably application based and unless concepts are well known, it's difficult to pass. There are indeed u tube videos but they are of limited value. Don't worry. There are enough students who have got admission in IIT without any coaching class.

Almost all states have CET for admission to Engineering colleges. I think your wish to join without any exam could perhaps be fulfilled if you take admission via management quota.

The first thing that you should do for any topic in any subject is go through the NCERT chapter. I would strongly recommend that you do the NCERT irrespective what your teacher says.
So, the first thing to do is read the NCERT chapters thoroughly and this includes any side notes or extra information that may or may not be part of the CBSE boards syllabus. Once you have completed the exercises for the relevant topic, you are ready to move to the next step.
Once you have finished the relevant sections from the NCERT textbook, you can move on to a more "advanced book". This book would differ with subjects and may differ on dif

In +2, you need minimum 75% percent and VJTI taking admission through MHCET and secure minimum 150+ marks to get a good branch.
