You are definitely eligible for JEE Mains exam.
You must, overall, score good marks to meet the JEE Mains criteria. Students who score more than 75% (65% for SC/ST candidates) are only eligible to appear for the exam.
A good rank in JEE Mains exam can be grabbed by a good score in JEE Mains along with a good percentage in the board exams. There is a criterion that the marks scored in JEE Mains exam is allotted 60% weightage and rest 40% is for board exams.

(a) In case of open board, students must have scored at least 90% marks.
(b) In case the board is giving the same rank to multiple students.
I. Scholarships will be given to all students subject to scoring at least 97% marks. For example, there are 10 students having same marks and the board has given them the same rank (rank 10), in that case, scholarship will be given to all 10 students (up to top 20 rank holders) if they are having at least 97% marks even if there are 50 students above this rank.
ii. If for a board, no student is scoring more than 97%
