Your admission in IITs depends on your ranking but to be eligible for admission, you need to clear individually in physics, chemistry and maths in JEE Advanced along with the cut off prescribed by IITs.

If you have not qualified for JEE Mains then also you must have got scores and ranks and based on that you can apply to colleges. Also, you can give exams conducted by private universities and state universities for admission in engineering.

If you are seeking admission after Diploma then you should have first class to get direct second year admission in engineering. After 12th the criteria will depend on your CET score as well as your 12th PCM marks which should be 45%. Out of 200 in CET, your score should be more than 150 to get admission in Mumbai engineering colleges. In other universities you can get admission with 90-100 CET score.

Hello Pawan,
If you are from a state that has set JEE Mains as criteria for admission, then you are in for bad luck. However if your state conducts its own CET then you have one more avenue left. Alternatively, you can think of getting admission via management quota of private colleges.

Hello Sahil,
Definitely. If you are not ready then you can always spare one year for concentrated studies of JEE Mains and then Advanced. There are plenty of examples of success stories following this path.
Best wishes.
