To secure admission to the M.Tech programme at DPG Institute of Technology and Management (DPGITM), Gurgaon, candidates are required to have a valid GATE score. While the institute does not publicly disclose specific GATE cutoff scores, meeting the minimum qualifying marks in the GATE examination is essential. In addition to the GATE score, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved categories). For those without a GATE score, DPGITM may conduct its own entrance examination as an alternative pathway for admission.

1.IITs:

Very low chance with this score in the general category. Only possible via preparatory courses or interdisciplinary programs (very rare and limited). If you belong to SC/ST/PwD, you may have a chance in lesser-known IITs or special programs.

2. NITs:

Top NITs (Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal) – Unlikely. Lower-ranked NITs (e.g., NIT Meghalaya, NIT Arunachal) – Possible in spot rounds or for less preferred specializations. Branch shift may be an option later if you get admitted.

3. IIITs:

Some IIITs like IIITDM Kurnool, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Nagpur may accept such scores depending on the year and competitions.

Apart checking scorecard and rank, they need to check out their qualifying status. Based on your results, you then have to make up your mind to prepare for JEE Advanced or not to get into the IITs. Moreover, the candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam will be allowed to sit for the counselling rounds of NITs, IIITs, and other
