If two applicants secure the same GATE score for admission to M.Tech at IIITDM Jabalpur, the institute resolve and determine the inter-se-merit of candidates, from the following criteria:

  • In the unlikely event of candidates' year of GATE score being the same, preference will be given based on the All-India Rank (AIR) divided by total appearance in that GATE paper. Candidates with lower value will be given preference.

As a bio student, you can pursue a B.Tech in Food Technology without JEE Mains by applying to colleges that do not require the exam for admission. Some institutions offer direct entry or accept state-level entrance exams for B.Tech Food Technology. For example, colleges like Jadavpur University and various state-level universities might offer this course with alternative entry pathways.

Given your 979 intermediate exam grades and 89 percentile JEE Mains scores, you stand a good chance of being accepted into SASTRA Universitys Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme in Thanjavur. There are two routes for admissions:

Stream 1: Comprising normalised 12th marks (75%) and the JEE Mains (25%) accounts for 70% of seats.
Stream 2: Covering the remaining 30% based only on 12th grade grades.
The merit-based requirements of Stream 1 are adequately met by your scores. But there is fierce rivalry for CSE, and the final admission results rely on the total number of applicants and the cutoffs

Your chances of getting into NIT Srinagar with an 81% JEE B.Arch score depend on your overall rank and the particular category you're applying under. While more well-known NITs tend to have higher cutoffs, NIT Srinagar normally admits applicants with JEE B.Arch ranks ranging from 20,000 to 50,000. Make sure you fulfil the requirements for eligibility which include having a valid JEE B.Arch test result and the necessary paperwork for your category
