Since the total marks in JEE Advanced changes over the years, it is difficukt to compare what has bee the highest score so far. But if we convert the scores of the JEE Advanced toppers over the years, then the following has been the highest percentages in JEE Advanced exam so far:

  • The marks obtained by a candidate in Physics in JEE (Advanced) will equal marks in Physics part of Paper 1 plus marks in Physics part of Paper 2.
  • Marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated in same way.
  • The aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in JEE (Advanced) is sum of marks awarded to him/her in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • The aggregate marks will be calculated for both papers - paper 1 and paper 2.
  • The total marks in JEE Advanced will be total marks in paper 1 and paper 2 combined.

In order to fill out the JEE Advanced application form, you will require the JEE Main application number and password to log in. If you have forgotten your JEE Main password, you can reset it on the official JEE Advanced website by following these steps:

  1. Click on the "forgot password" option in the JEE Advanced candidate portal.
  2. Choose one of the options provided.
  3. Fill in the required details based on the chosen option.
  4. The new password will then be sent to the candidate.

Candidates have the opportunity to take the JEE Advanced exam twice, once each year, over the course of two consecutive years in order to pass. Candidaes thus get two chances at JEE Advanced exam - first chance is while appearing in 12th grade, and the second is during their first drop year.

Yes. The foreign national candidates who have studied or are studying in India/abroad at 10+2 level or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE Advanced are NOT required to write JEE Main and may register for JEE Advanced directly subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria. These candidates are outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories / sub-categories, as specified herein. There are no separate supernumerary seats or sub-category for females in the foreign national supernumerary seats.

NO. As per the decision dated February 03, 2023 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Writ Petition (Civil) 891 / 2021, persons who have secured the OCI/PIO card subsequent to 04 March 2021 will NOT be considered as Indian national and will be considered as foreign national.
