Candidates can modify their selected GATE exam city during the GATE application form correction period. The GATE form correction facility was activated on November 6, 2024 at the GOAPS portal. The fee for changing GATE exam city is INR 500 and can be paid through net banking/UPI/credit/debit card. To know more read here - https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam-centre

Yes, you can change the GATE exam city at the time of GATE 2026 application form correction facility. The GATE application form correction window will be available after the completion of the registration process. The last date to make corrections is November 6.

The GATE 2025 has eight zonal centres namely - IISc Bangalore, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Madras.

A candidate can choose at least three exam cities while filling the GATE application form. The conducting authorities will conduct the GATE exam at around 200 exam centres from the issued list of GATE exam centres. The candidaes whose name will appear in the TNEA rank list are selected in TNEA counselling. Based on the TNEA ranks of the candidtaes, seats will be allotted to them via the TNEA counselling process.

There is no score of TNEA, as TNEA is not an exam but a counselling process based on class 12 marks.

  1.  Full Fees Waived for Those Admitted Under 7.5% Reservation For Government School Students.
  2. First Graduate Tuition Fee Concession
  3. AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme

As per the First Graduate Tuition Fee Concession in TNEA, the Government have ordered to grant tuition fee concession to the candidates who are to be the first graduate in a family, those who are attending counselling and joined in professional courses in Government / Aided and Self-Financing Engineering Colleges.
