The toughness of a section in the JEE Advanced exam depend on the preparation level of the candidates. However, as per the previous year analysis and student raction of the candidates about the JEE Advaced exam, Maths is considered tough as the section is generally lenthy and the calculation take a lot of time. Maths is followed by Physics when it comes to difficulty and Chemistry is generally ranked as the easisest section.

The JEE Advanced exam centre is allotted based on the choices of exam city filled by the candidates in the application form of the exam. The candidates are allotted a exam centre in the first city out of all the four cities they submitted with the form as choice of exam city to appear in the exam. In rare cases, and due to unforeseen circumstances, candidates can be allotted exam centre in rest if the three choices filled.

Candidates can check their allotted exam city and exam centre address in the JEE Advanced admit card. The candidates are allotted exam centre in one city out of their preferred choices of the four cities submitted with the application form. Usually, the centre is allotted in the first preferred city. The candidates can check the exam centre name and the full address of the centre allotted on the admit card issue a few days before the exam.

JEE Advanced exam is held across all states in India in multiple exam centres in each state. Candidates are allowed to select their preferred 4 cities in the JEE Advanced application form to appear in the computer based test. The exam is also held at selected foreign cities.
In 2025, JEE Advanced was held across 224 locations, including 222 cities in India and two international centres in Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu. During the JEE Advanced registration, candidates are required to select up to ten preferred cities.

No. The JEE Advanced exam is held in computer based test mode and after the exam, candidates will not be given any hardcopy of the questions as asked in the exam. However, the official question papers are uploaded on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, a few hours after the exam is over in all shifts. Candidates can access the official website and download and save the JEE Advanced question paper PDF.
