Candidates can challenge the GATE answer key in the following way -
Visit the official website of GATE or the GOAPS portal
Click on the answer key link and then select the “raise an objection” option
Choose the question you want to challenge
Pay the application fee for challenging the question (each question carries INR 500) to object.
Submit the response.

The GATE answer key will be released after the completion of the exam. The GATE 2026 exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The expected answer key release date is around the first week of March.

No, you cannot challenge the GATE response sheet, as it is meant to evaluate the probable scores. GATE answer keys can be used to challenge the responses. The answer key of GATE will be available on the prescribed dates. The response sheet of GATE will be available in PDF format and can be downloaded from the GOAPS portal.

The GATE response sheet will be released once the exam is completed. Candidates can download the GATE response sheet at the GOAPS portal using their enrollment ID and password. The response sheet carries the candidate's responses attempted during the exam. With the help of the response sheet, candidates can evaluate their probable scores secured in the GATE examination.
