Sorry, but from seeing last year's cutoff you won't be able to get any NIT or IIIT from this rank, if you are from the general category.

According to last year data you can get a seat in Vit Vellore as you have around under 40000 but you lie in category 4 so your fees would be around 4 to 5 lakhs.

Seeing last year's cutoff students who scored more than 980 marks got the seat and your JEE percentile would also be not that great so you won't get the admission into sastra University.

Firstly congratulations for the Jee Mains Rank. As your rank is 5790 you can get into any NITs in India. If you want to get top branches then you should go for the 2nd tier NITs like NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Bhopal etc. If you want to get into top NITs the you should go for NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Rourkela etc. These are the few top NITs in India. Other than that also You can go for the IIITs like IIIT Hydranbad, IIIT Bnagaore, IIIT Delhi. These are some of the best IIITs of India. And you should go to csab round after josaa counselling to get the best possible branch. In my opinion you should go for the top NITs. For t

All female students who have passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam from a recognised college, board, or council may apply for admission to the four-year B.Tech. programme in Information Technology (IT) & Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). The programme requires students to have at least 45% (or 40% for students from reserved categories) in aggregate marks in PCM and PCBM. MIT Academy of Engineering, MAEER is a premier institute. The cut-offs are generally high. 40 percentile is comparatively low, the last cut-off rank for the last year was 264031, which if calculated is approximately 75 percentile. The minimum percentile required to any college is 50-60 percentile.

Since you have not mentioned your category so consider it as general. You might not get the excellent colleges of your expectations but on such percentile and category, you have some chances of getting some colleges through MHT CET counseling according to the previous year's cut-off. You can try and apply to these colleges if you are genuinely interested in engineering.

1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institute of Technology, Shedung, Panvel

2. Dr. D. Y. Patil School OF Engineering, Lohegaon, Pune

3. Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology, Vasai

Firstly, congratulations for your rank in JEE Main. As your rank is 44361 you may not get a college in 1st or 2nd round of counselling. But You may get an allocation in the 3rd or 4th round onwards in college like Nit Agartala in the Production Engineering branch. Between the 6th round of Josaa counselling You may get Nit Agartala, Nit Silchar, Nit Andhra Pradesh etc. But the branches you may get will be Metallurgy, Mining or Civil.  After CSAB counselling you may get NIT Durgapur or NIT Rourkela or IIEST Shibpur but again the branches may be BioTechnology, Metallurgy or Mining. To get a better branche you can look into IIITs. You

You can expect a rank between 615134 to 796929. It would be best if you prepare for another attempt at JEE Mains. If you don't want to appear for JEE Mains, then you can opt for the colleges where you can get admitted to the colleges where you can get admitted without the JEE Mains. Some colleges that accept admission to BTech courses without JEE Mains or any other exams are:

  • Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)
  • Shiv Nadar University
  • Amity University
  • Chandigarh University
