The Bihar Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) is primarily for candidates who have appeared in the JEE Main examination and wish to secure admission to various engineering colleges in Bihar. Generally, the counselling process has specific domicile requirements.

To be eligible for UGEAC counselling, a candidate typically needs to meet one of the following criteria:

1. Domicile Requirement: The candidate should be a resident of Bihar. This generally means that the candidate or their parents should have a permanent residence in Bihar.

• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of BTech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under Lateral Entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Telengana / Andhra Pradesh.
