For admission in engineering programs, the candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination in relevant subjects with at least 60% of marks in the qualifying examination at 10+2 / Intermediate level and admission through common entrance tests/competitive examinations conducted by national bodies like JEE/State Common Entrance Test/ Qualifying Examination on merit.

GATE is not required for all M.Tech admissions at IIIT Hyderabad. Admission to most M.Tech programs at IIIT Hyderabad is based on the institute's own entrance exam, Postgraduate Entrance Examination .This exam focuses on assessing knowledge and skills relevant to the chosen M.Tech specialization.
However, for the M.Tech in PGEE program, a valid score in GATE/CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) is also accepted for admission alongwith PGEE, or you can appear for the PGEE itself.

We have to apply to SRMJEEE in order to get admitted to SRM University. You also need to score well on SRMJEEE in order to be eligible for a seat through SRMJEEE counseling. Admission to most programs is by a national entrance exam administered by authorized or statutory boards or organizations, or by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (previously SRM University).
