RT in Chemistry on your 12 th marksheet generally refers to Repeat Theory, whereby, you had failed in understanding the theory part of the Chemistry test. Although it may pass you overall in case you score sufficiently in other subjects/practicals, the eligibility criterion in several B.Tech courses, particularly in the best institutions such as IITs/NITs, stipulates you to have passed each of the subjects individually including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). You may be required to pass the compartment/improvement exam in Chemistry so as to meet B.Tech admission requirement in most colleges. Nonetheless, in some private univ

As you possess a 92.26 percentile in JEE Main and your category is EWS, your EWS category rank will probably be within a scale of 8,000-9,000. Unfortunately, with forty-two percent in your ISC 12th board exam, you would likely not be eligible for B.Tech admission at AMU (Aligarh Muslim University). AMU's eligibility criteria for B.Tech typically require a minimum of fifty percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or equivalent subjects) in your 10+2 examination from a recognised board. It's always best to check their official admission prospectus for the most current and precise requirements for the specific academic year you're applying.
