The difference between the two is that while the GATE CCMT cutoff is prepared by the exam conducting authority, which is IIT Bombay for admissions to various institutions through GATE score, the IIEST Shibpur M.Tech merit list, on the other hand, is the list of candidates actually selected for admission to this specific institution.

The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur admits students on the basis of valid GATE score for its MTech courses. IIEST Shibpur GATE cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 6 for a few MTech specialisations. As per the IIEST Shibpur GATE cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank was ranged between 351 and 427, among which MTech in Structural Engineering was the most competitive specialisation. This is basis the last round closing rank for the General All India category students. In order to get admission to BTech at SSU, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. After that, they need to qualify for either SSU CET entrance exam which is an in-house exam of Sri University or else they can qualify JEE Main/ OJEE with a valid score. As per the next step, students need to fill an online application form by filing all the appropriate details along with submitting the required documents and paying an application amount of INR 500.

Yes, Sri Sri University offers a four-year BTech course. Admission to BTech is based on either the valid score in SSU's in-house entrance exam, i.e., SSU CET or state/national-level entrance exam such as OJEE/JEE Main, respectively. Vel Tech University offers direct admission to the third year For admission to the BTech Lateral Entry course, there is minimum eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled before applying for the course. Those who are interested to apply for this course must pass Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent. As there is no entrance exam required for admission, students will be selected based on their merit performance in the previous qualifying exam.

No, it is not mandatory to qualify for VTUEEE, only if aspirants get more than 60% aggregate in their previous qualifying exam as per the minimum eligibility criteria. In this case, they can get direct admission to a four-year course of BTech at Vel Tech. If students do not fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, they have to appear for VTUEEE, which is an in-house entrance exam conducted for admission to Engineering courses.
