The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad does not have a rigid dress code policy. There is a high expectation that students will wear appropriate clothing and behave well. Informal and comfortable clothing is encouraged by the institute. Specific rules of dress may be laid down for specific events or occasions. When taking into account social norms and professional standards it is necessary to follow the Official Guidelines and apply discretion.

Generally, our engineering students are free for three to four hours a day, Saturday and Sunday, but it varies from person to person, some students are studying daily, truely speaking 80% of students are studying only at the time of the exam. If you're serious in your studies, then there is a minimum of 2 hours free time to be had for 4 or 5 hours. Chitkara Provides featurea for both type of students there is library for the studius student on the otherhand there is playgrounds and swiming pools etc. for others.And for the lectures you have to maintain a 75% of attendence.

 Admissions to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad for BTech programs are not through direct admission. These are based on national level entrance examinations, such as the JEE Main. In a centralised counselling process carried out by the Joint Staff Assessment Authority, selected candidates take part. The number of seats shall be allocated on the basis of merit, choice selection and seat availability. For certain categories, a limited number of seats may be available.

College accommodation is provided both to boys and girls by the University of Chitkara, one of the most prominent universities. Quality accommodation has beenwell-equippedwith state of art facilities like WiFi, bathrooms, gym, swimming pools and so on.But for reason, if you prefer a PG there are lot of options, these are as below:

Every year, depending on factors such as the number of requests and the cutoffs set by the institute, the specific minimum marks required to be admitted in a B.Tech programme at IIIT Dharwad may vary. The institute's selection procedure, in most cases based on the results of the entrance examination or Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main. Overall rank required is 4532  to 13491 

Chitkara University does not provide any additional entrance examination for admission. There are two main criterias for B.Tech. First of all, the candidates must pass their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks of the total marks (mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in any stream. And secondly, candidates are required to appear in national-lavel entrance examination, for example JEE Main (mandatory for 2023 batch).
