According to the placement report 2023, a total of 58 students were placed during KJ Somaiya College of Engineering placements. A decrese of nearly 36% was observed in the number of Mechanical Engineering students when compared to 2022. A fluctuating trend was observed in the number of students placed in the last three years. Three specialisations of the BTech course are available from Assam University. The first 75% of seats for BTech admission at Assam University are determined by the candidate's JEE Main result. A university-level admission test is used to fill the remaining 25% of seats. The applicant's performance in a university-conducted entrance test determines if they are eligible for a lateral entry admission to the BTech curriculum.
If you are from other state then for CSE branch then aprox marks you would required a min of 100 i, e 91 percentile. And if you from home state then you would required a min mark of 85-90 marks i, e 88 percentile.

Tezpur University admission is completely entrance-based. The entrance exam accepted for BTech/MTech by Tezpur University, includes JEE Main for BTech and GATE/TUEE for MTech. The university releases a cutoff list to declare the minimum scores required for selection. Candidates with marks equal to or more than the cutoff marks become eligible for admission.
