Shaswat's review of my college.
Placements: At my college, more than 80% of students got placed in top companies in India. The highest package offered to students in my course was more than 3 lakhs per month, and the lowest package was nearly Rs. 20,000 per month. The percentage of students who got internships in companies from my course was 95%.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my course were super. Wi-Fi, classrooms, and the library were all available. The quality of food in the college canteen was very good. Medical facilities were available. Sports and games were also provided for students at the college.
Faculty: Teachers in my course were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They had great teaching qualities. This course was curriculum-relevant, and students were industry-ready. The semester exams in my course were easy. The pass percentage was more than 70%.
Other: There was nothing that needed improvement in my course, events, or campus, as everything was very good. However, scholarships were not available in my course.

Review of Computer Science Engineering, IIT Kanpur.
Placements: Almost 95 to 99 percent students will be placed in CSE. The highest package is around 2 crore, the lowest is around 15 Lacs, average is around 40 to 45 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Graviton, and many more, with no limit to software and quant companies. Around 90 percent students will get internships. Roles will be software, data analyst, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Obviously, CSE has well-infrastructure labs. We have a separate building for CSE students named HR Kadim and RM Building. From the 2nd year, many classes will be held in the RM Building. The library is common for all students. The hostel is common for all students, and my hostel is an old one with a bit small rooms. Food in the mess and canteen is good. The health center is available here, providing a bunch of free medicine and good facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and have high teaching levels. They have done PhDs in foreign countries. The course curriculum is important and very relevant for internships and placements. Courses are well and good, but extra reading should be done for internships and placements. Semester exams will be hard as all students are talented. Pass percentage will be based on proof, and some might be strict.
Other: I have chosen this course because of the good branch in a good IIT. The best things are we have a big building, benefits for internships, placements, etc. Everything in my course is good, with no worries. Many events happen in a year from many clubs, societies, etc. Cultural, sports, and technical fests occur in a year, and more crowd will be present on the campus at these times. The campus surroundings are good, and we have metro access. I don't know much about scholarships. Clubs, societies, fests, and cell are many extracurricular activities.

Review of CSE, IIT Kanpur.
Placements: 95 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 2 crores, the lowest is 5 lakhs, and the average is 52 lakhs offered in my course. Google and Amazon will be the top recruiting companies. 90 percent of students get internships in my course. Roles offered are software engineer, back-end developer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-infrastructured, and we have a separate CSE building called the RM building, which consists of AC, is open 24 hours a day, and is a is a good environment to read in. Classrooms have projectors, switch boards, and good infrastructure. Hostel food is average. Canteen food will be better than a mess. We have a health centre open 24 hours a day, free of medicine and health insurance. Almost all games are available to play.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable and some are not good at teaching. The course curriculum is relevant and needs extra effort to compete in industry. Semester exams will be a bit hard, as all are well and good at studying. Pass percentage mainly depends on professor but more than 15 percent of students won't fail.
Other: I chose this course because this is CSE. The best things are getting easy projects, more recruiting by companies, and easy settlement. CSE Society ACA should be improved and should give more guidance to students. Events will happen due to clubs and societies on campus. Fests will be 3 per year. Campus scholarships like NSP, donor, FBM, etc. will be provided for eligible students. Extracurricular activities are clubs, societies, and festivals.

The real experience of IIT Kanpur.
Placements: In my department, the placements are very good, with around 95 to 98% of students placed, and the average package is around 40 LPA, with the highest being 2.2 crore, which is international. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, Optiver, Quadeye, Rubrik, Tower Research, Google, Microsoft, etc. Internships are also good; around 80% of students get an internship every year, and the same companies come for internships as I have written down above. The top roles are HFT and SDE.
Infrastructure: For the CSE department, there is a separate building in IIT Kanpur where only CSE students can sit. In the building, there are around 150 desktops with i5 processors and 12th generation, and the labs are fabulous for my department. The quality of hostels is good, but only in the first year. After the first year, you will find that Hall 12 is good; other halls are not, and in Hall 12, you will find a single room after the first year but not others. But the quality of food after 1st is good and tested also.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful, but not all teachers, although they are well qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good, but yes, only a few teachers. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are literally tough, not easy. If you are at IIT Kanpur, then you have to study in any case.
Other: Basically, I chose this course on the basis of my rank. The best thing about my course is that it is easy compared to others, and similarly, internships and placements are good in this course, so I chose it. The thing that I want to improve is that, in some cases, it should have practical knowledge of where we will use this concept. There are mainly three annual festivals: cultural Antaragani, Teach Fest TechKriti, sports Fest Udhghosh, and monthly conduct by the societies.

A very much happy life all the environment a student neende for there growth .
Placements: A very large number of students, around 85 percent, are placed on campus, while the remaining either secure off-campus placements or are keen on pursuing startups. All students are placed, and this holds true for internships as well; a significant number of students secure internships.
Infrastructure: The rooms are pretty good, with enough space for one person to live a peaceful life. There are rooms available for two sharing and three sharing. Additionally, in senior year, every student also gets a single room. The Wi-Fi and labs are also excellent, providing high-speed network connectivity.
Faculty: The faculty is very good, comprising highly educated professors who cater to every student's needs and provide all the necessary materials required for their courses. The semesters are also easy to pass, and all the materials are easily accessible.

Placements: In my course, almost 100% students are getting placed. High package is 4.7 crore this year. Average package is above 20Lac CTC from last few years. Internship data is also very high and almost everyone gets one intern after 3rd year summer, as far as I know. Famous companies like Google, Microsoft, Jane Street, Goldman Sacs, Optiver, Samsung Korea, Samsung India, JP Morgan and Chase, Accenture, etc. Participate in recruitment process for both Placements as well as Internship. Top roles offered are Software Developer, Machine Learning analyst, Data Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very nice, great infrastructure for both Hostels and classrooms. Full AC classrooms, high-speed wifis all over the college campus, good books available in library. To refresh ourselves we have every type of games and sports facility including cricket, football, basketball, hockey, squash, swimming, weightlifting, mountain climbing, table tennis, lawn tennis, athletics, and many more. Food given in mess is also very hygienic and full of variety.
Faculty: Teaching quality is unquestionable. Teachers are highly qualified. Courses are also very smartly organized. We learn everything which makes us industry expert college exams are designed in such a way so that every type of student (topper, average, below average) can perform. Slow learners can even meet professors in office hours for their benefit.
Other: I am interested in Computers so I took this course. Also employees of this field are highly paid. We have 3 fests every year, Techkriti ( Technological and Entrepreneurial fest), Antaragni ( cultural fest) and Udgosh (sports fest). We get an all-rounder development here.

Placements: Almost 80-90% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered ranges from 6 LPA - 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered varies between 2 LPA - 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Wipro, Godrej, Samsung, etc.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms were spacious with well-ventilated system. Digital projectors were also available for presentation. There was a huge library for students. A canteen was provided. Mess was also very good, and they provide a variety of food items at affordable prices. Food delivery system was also available.
Faculty: All teachers and non-teaching staff members were very knowledgeable, and were working since many years. Their teaching methods were also very good. Semester exams were difficult, and the passing percentage was 33%.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements, and really good Infrastructure and facil.
Placements: IIT Kanpur has close to 100% rate in placements for computer Science students. The average package offered for CSE students is 24lpa. Each and every top company will be there in the placement drive. 95% students got the internship in many companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, labs, Library facilities are very good. Hostel rooms are also very good but some are very old hostels so they are not up to the mark. The quality of food in mess is good and the type of food is according to the region of your college. Sports facilities are very good.
Faculty: Teaching is very good. Very highly professional teachers will be teaching. The course contains many projects which help us in real time scenarios. Semester exams are a bit tough. But since the grading is relative it will be equally tough for everyone.
Other: This course has the maximum demand in the real time world. Everything is perfect in this course. I didn't find any specific improvement required for this course.

I would say you should join IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur placement stats are good and programming culture is also great there. IIT Roorkee is also nice. If you want to consider the International ranking also IIT Kanpur is above the IIT Roorkee. IIT Kanpur campus is also great.

Hello Tanu,
To get admission in IITs , you need to clear JEE Advanced with a good score. With JEE Mains score you can only apply for NITs , IIITs and other colleges only.

The admission for all IITs, NITs and IIITS are based on JEE Mains and Advanced. You can't get admission through UPTU.

Minimum marks vary every year like below:
2018 -approximately 375
2017- 366
2016- 372
2015 - 504
2014 - 360
So, it is difficult to predict marks as exam pattern and marks change every year but you should score more than 50% marks to get good branch in Top IITs.

If you are a average student and know your capabilities then you have to work hard, study hard, concentrate and be focus on your studies only and not anything else .
Just go with the concepts of subject of 11th and 12th , practice NCERT as much as you can, Try to solve every question of the book. Go
