Hello Vanshika, I suggest you to follow your Interest of field. NIT is a nice place to educate yourself and grow higher with better opportunities. What do mechanical engineers do? Mechanical engineers design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Mechanical engineers design other machines inside buildings, such as elevators and escalators. And for also the designing each and every Mechanical student learns Python programming language. Unless you finish a higher degree in Mechanical you will not be able to get a higher paying job. Similarly, VIT Bhopal is also a huge Institute to build up your skills with somewhat similar placement opportunities. And Programming language can be learnt from anywhere with Internet Service and a Laptop with Compilers (the software that runs code). I propose for CSE since it has lot more opportunities out there to earn and level up with low investment on their own. Even most of Mechanical Students are doing IT jobs. Conclusion, I think CSE is Better.

Based on your JEE Mains rank, it may be difficult to get admission in top IIITs and NITs for ECE. Hello Govind Jathar, conversion of percentile to ranking requires a lot of information which is not available to anyone else except the entity which conducts the entrance examination. In view of this if you want to know you are ranking then you have to approach the body that is conducting the entrance exam called MHT CET. All the colleges in the state of Maharashtra perhaps except for NIT and IIT and any other institution which is funded by the central government have to accept the score of mhtcp to give admission.
