Now as you are comparing ICE and Mechanical so I assume that you have not collected much knowledge about the two branches because the two are entirely different. Now I compare only placement scenario in both branches and I assume you to be wise enough to figure out which branch you should choose keeping other things clear in mind. So ICE is one of the oldest branch of NSUT while mechanical branch is merely 56 years old. The quality of labs, faculty is undoubtedly not as good as ICE is. Also over 80 to 90 % of software companies allow ICE whereas merely 40 to 50 % software companies allow Mechanical students.
