According to the last year change in closing rank for last round, also JoSAA 2016 was very much similar to JoSAA 2017, So the following changes can be seen in the 7th round this year. Sandip Foundation is only about showing off the infrastructure and scenery to lure prospective students.
All other things are negative about the college. It has got the extra strictness to maintain its reputation.

I have heard that Jaypee is a good one. If you want try in Amity University Noida or Mumbai both offer B.Tech Biotechnology. DY Patil is also has no problem, they have good infrastructure (Sorry don't know about Faculty)
Some best colleges for Biotechnology are
IIT Madras ( Has best labs for biotechnology, it has been shown in movie Chennai vs china )
SRM University, Chennai
VIT, Vellore
BIT, Pilani
Manipal Institute Of Technology, Manipal
I am personally studying B.Tech Genetic engineering from SRM University Chennai. Here they have a good infrastructure and a very good faculty.
